Jenji curry (Crab curry)
Ingredients:
12 small Crabs 20-22 nos. Red chillies 2 tablesthingys Dhaniya seeds 1 teasthingy Jeera seeds 1 teasthingy Methi seeds 1 teasthingy Peppercorns 1/2 teasthingy Turmeric powder 6-8 nos. Garlic cloves 1 tablesthingy Tamarind (Puli) paste 1 no. Grated coconut 2 nos. Chopped onions 2 tablesthingys Coconut oil Salt Method Clean and cut the crabs. Fry the red chillies, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds and peppercorns in a tbsp of oil. Grind together the fried ingredients along with turmeric powder, garlic and tamarind to a fine paste. Mix with 2 cups of water to make a thin gravy. In a deep pan, put in the cleaned and cut crabs along with the masala gravy, 1 chopped onion and salt. Cook till the crabs are cooked. In another pan, heat oil and fry the remaining onion till light brown. Pour the crab curry over it. Simmer for 10 minutes. Serve hot with rice. Dont forget to invite me for lunch.

good to find a sanjeev kapoor on tuluspeakers board. I need to try this out.Keep it up, do contribute in this section of food and receipe if you are a person who has a flair for it, I like to experiment with food while cooking. Tell us what is the speacial food of saudi since you have been there for about 9 yrs .
