Many of us who follow the simple path in our education like doing conventional courses B.com/B.sc or BE or post graduate courses viz. M.com, Msc. Share in www.tuluspeakers.com that you have come across people doing unusual courses or profession viz. Bioinformatics, Paramedical engineering which are in demand abroad. Share in www.tuluspeakers.com about the professions viz. fashion designing, interior designing, architect etc which very few people opt for. You may post about, how did you enrol for the course, challenges and prerequisite for the course and scope of practicing the same. You may also share the experiences of other people or people whom you know.

Dear Friends, I would like to speak about my profession of interior design. "Interior Design " is generally confused with "interior decorator"
Interior Design would be in my words Space management That is designing "space" whether it is residence, office or retail outlet in terms with the requirements of space & its occupants.
For eg.if a Channel office has to be designed, then the requirements would be for a reception area, staff, film editing studio conference room, Server/network room, sound recording studio, pantry.etc.
So as an interior designer, you would have to plan for all the above requirements, taking the total office space into consideration & services in terms of electric connection,a/c,etc. that are required, And finally give a look which will enhance the corporate identity of the respective office.
Interior design gives you a lot of scope in terms of creative thinking & each project has its own challenges Of course, there is a lot of hard work involved. But the accomplishment of a successful project is worthy of all the efforts put in
Duration of the course is around:3- 3.5 years Some of the recommended Colleges in bombay offering these courses are: Sndt , Polytechnic, Juhu Rachna College,Prabhadevi Raheja college, Bandra Out of these Sndt offers you a full time 3.5 year course Do not opt for any course which is below 3years.
Scope :join an architects firm , construction companies, design firms or start your own practise
Any one requiring any more information, pls feel free to ask. Meenal
